The Nisqually tribe hunts mostly salmon or other fish that they catch. They would use the fish oil as medicine, and eat the rest of the fish for food. For whales, they use the blubber to make warm coats for the winter, and also uses it's oil for other things, too. They also hunt sea otters; smelt; crabs; and seals.

Wikipedea: Nisqually Tribe
The Nisqually people have lived in the watershed for thousands of years. According to the legand, the Squalli-absch, came north from the Great Basin, crossed the Cascade Mountain Range, and erected their first village in a basin now known as Skate Creek, just outside the Nisqually River Watershed's southern boundery. Later, a major village would be located near the Mashel River. The Nisqually have always been a fishing tribe. The salmon has not only been the mainstay of their diet, but the foundation of their culture as well. The Nisqually Tribe is the prime steward of the Nisqually River fisheries resources.
The Nisqually people have tools like a hammer carved from stone. And a spear made from a long smooth stick, connected to a spearhead or an arrowhead. They also use harpoons, which are used to hunt whales, and each harpoon kind of looks like a spear, but the sharp point is curved kind of like a hot dog fold just slightly. The harpoon also has a medium sized stick, and a long rope tied to the end of the stick, on the opposite side of the sharp point.
The Nisqually tribe lives in Washington state.
They call themselves the Squalli-Absh, which means "People of the river" in Lushootseed, their language. Their logo is a red; black; and white colored fish with a small net over the tail.
The Nisqually tribe originally inhabited the interior woodlands and coastal waters from Mt. Rainier, west to Puget Sound. The lifestyle of the Nisqually, like many of the other Northwest Coastal tribes, revolved around fishing for salmon.
