As you can see, the answer to our question, ‘why are there different types of carry bags?’ is that every individual bag has a different purpose, so a handbag can’t be used as a cricket bag and a cricket bag can’t be used as a handbag because their purposes are way too different. Each one is designed to make it easier for us to use it for it’s intended purpose.

A sports bag can also come in lots of different kinds. The reason behind this is because there are lots of different sports, therefore the bags need to hold different equipment and not every bag is fit for the same job. For example, a cricket bag is big and long and has wheels on one end. This bag has a big pocket that has a firm frame to hold a bat, pads, helmet, gloves, box, drink bottle etc.

A golf bag is thin and very tall. It usually has one pocket on the side for balls and tees, and 14 holes for the golf clubs. The bag has a big strap to be carried over the shoulder but is most commonly wheeled around in a golf buggy due to its great mass.

On the other hand, bumbags are carried around the waist with a strap and a small compartment at the front that is usually secured with a zipper. It is most commonly used by photographers, lifeguards, tourists and sporting officials to hold small items that are being used commonly. They are worn for practicality over fashion. There are some major differences between these two things but at the same time they are both carry bags and have lots of similarities.

Let’s compare the different qualities and uses between a shoulder bag and a bumbag. A shoulder bag has a long strap to be carried over the shoulder with. It is not large because it’s purpose is to be carry around for a long period of time while holding small accessories for the person. It is also worn as a fashionable aspect to the female.

There are many carry bags such as handbags, shoulder bags, clutch bags, backpacks, rucksacks, bumbags, plastic bags, briefcases, suitcases, duffel bags, sports bags and garbage bags, all with different uses.
