'ULU MAIKA
History behind 'Ulu maika:
'Ulu maika was a game that warriors used for battle. This game was used as pitching. Men used this game to demonstrate their accuracy and strength.
Materials:
2 wooden pegs and 2 pohaku (stones)
How to play 'Ulu maika:
Introduction:
First mark off a flat ground about 15ft or less.
Second, at the end of the area you marked off place the 2 wooden pegs about 6in away from eachother.
Third, from the begining point of where you marked off roll the stone through the two wooden pegs.
Winner is the person that makes the stone through the pegs without touching them.
