The Center for Youth Philanthropy and Leadership provides opportunities to dive head first into philanthropy and volunteerism for Jewish youth from becoming Bar and Bat Mitzvah through college. There are opportunities for every interest - it's a choose your own adventure!

An opportunity to dive in with hands on experiences at many of the non-profit organizations that you learned about in the first two years and participate in a different kind of community service
Senior-level seminars with an increased focus on issues
that confront Jews in Israel and around the world,
college preparedness, volunteer opportunities, and
cultural programs, in partnership with
the iCenter for Israel Education
(formerly known as the Teen Philanthropic Leadership Council)
(formerly known as the Teen Philanthropic Task Force)
Senior Fellows act as facilitators, mentors,
leaders, and thought partners for
the Council and Mitzvah Squad members,
taking on increased roles of leadership
An entry-level foundation board experience in
which teens participate in fundraising and
allocations for community issues they decide
upon together
A second-level foundation board experience in
which teens build on the skills they learned
in year 1 to make fundraising and allocations
decisions together
Israel Fellows pairs New York teens with Israeli teens to
engage in social change and deepen their understanding
and relationship with Israel. They work together on
fundraising and allocations, as well as participate
in the Israel Institute seminars.
A small groups of 12th grade participants each year are
selected to serve as interns on adult task forces in
one of three UJA-Federation planning departments. They
are full voting task force members, and have the
opportunity to observe as various allocations are
made, and connect with lay leaders.
