They use the Pythagorean theorem to find if angles are 90 degrees

Trigonometry is the study of triangles.

Triangles are used to strengthen structures that have to bear heavy burdens.

Trigonometric ratios

Finding the force

Vectors are used to represent forces. To find the magnitude of the vector architects use sine and the vectors height.

Sine, Cosine, Tangent can all be used to find the height or length of an object. Architects can also use the law of sines or cosines.
