In conclusion I think Victor Kugler was a very good employer to Mr. Frank. He also did an excellent job supplying them with things they needed until they were found. An important life lesson that I learned is that I should stay positive even when the going gets tough. Also you should always look for a way out.
Victor Kugler was a kind man who dedicated his life to the Franks and many others to keep them safe in hiding. Also known as Mr. Kraler, he was one of the few to escape from Jewish prison, and share his experiences with the Holocaust.
Victor Kugler took the time to visit the hiding place almost everyday. He brought magazines, newspapers, books, and other necessities. He also did his best to get coupons too from the black market.
Even during the toughest of times, Victor Kugler was very optimistic and more than likely to keep bad news to himself. The big responsibility he had made him constantly stressed, although he could never tell his wife about his worries - she did not know he was keeping the Franks in hiding.
In 1944 the Gestapo raided the Pentacon, and arrested Victor and Johannes Kleiman the director of the company. Victor was taken to Zwolle labor camp and later moved to Wageningen where he made an escape when the Allies started bombing.
