The Fine Print

  • High School Seniors
  • Non - paid during intern hours, some businesses have offered paid time after school, week-ends, and the summer
  • Interns are at their sites the entire school year every other day for 3 hours
  • Interns received elective credits and complete an online class with the internship coordinator
  • Students complete a digital portfolio documenting their work for the school year
  • Intern time is coordinated with the partnering business ensuring student participation at the most optimal times

"Learning Outside the Classroom Walls"

Noblesville District and High School Leadership wanted to begin the transformation of preparing students for the 21st century.

  • What should school look like?
  • How could students get meaningful learning experiences outside of the classroom?
  • The desire to put students in alternative settings to apply and transfer learning
