Step 1

Get sheep in position

Step 3

Shear inside the hind legs and crotch

Step 4

Change position to shear left hind leg and tail

Put sheep on back and put shoulder between your knees with four legs and belly up in the air

Lean forward and shear up along the inside right leg. Then shear across to cut wool along the crotch be careful not to cut the teats.

put your right knee in front of the breast bone and the right foreleg is between your legs and the left side up. Start from the left hind leg and up toward hind quarters to the side of the backbone then go to top of tail and shear up along backbone.

Step 9

Shear right leg and hind quarter

Step 10

Roll up the wool

Reach down put your left hand on the sheep flank with pressure to keep leg straight. Also keep the skin tight shear the flank to the right hind leg until wool is cleared.

Remove any dirty wool then fold the long sides towards the center then from one end to the other with the wool inwards.

I chose this topic because I never sheared a sheep before or owned any sheep and maybe I will someday and will have to perform these steps. I learned when to shear, how to position the sheep, and where to start shearing and end.
