How a cell is like the human body

Cytoplasm

Blood Veins

The cytoplasm is the jelly like substance that keeps the organelles in place. Blood veins are what keep the blood going the direction it needs to and keeps the blood from getting out of the body and other un-needed substances out of the blood unless penetrated.

Golgi Apparatus

Intestins

The golgi body/apparatus is the area that sorts and packages proteins and other substances to be exported. The intestines absorb the nutrients and help spread them throughout the body.

Mitochondria

Insulin

The mitochondira is an area like little packs of energy that combine oxygen with glucose to make energy for metabolism which is a process in which insulin helps dissolve sugar and turn it into energy.

Chloroplats (Plants Only)

Stomach/Mouth

The stomach/mouth is like chloroplasts because chloroplasts are the area of making food for the plant cell and the mouth is where a human intakes food and the stomach is part of the place that turns the food into energy which our bodies need.

Lysosomes

Stomach Acid

Lysosome's contain digestive enzymes for breaking down food. Stomach acids are in the stomach for when food reaches the acid, the food is broken down into energy for the body to use.

Cytoskeleton

(Plants Only)

Human Skeleton

The cytoskeleton is the organelle that helps maintain the shape of the cell. The human skeleton is what supports the body to hold up.

Vacuole

Yes, the vacuole is the storage place

of water but it is also the storage

place of many nutirents. Blood is an

area that carries many needed

nutrients.

Ribosomes

Blood

Endoplasmic Reticulum

Ribosomes are the site of protein production. The tissues of the body act like ribosomes because they can produce proteins so they can be stored in the muscles.

Tissue's of the body

Cell Membrane

Smooth ER is an area that takes out all the toxins in the cell. The liver is what detoxifies the body.

Nucleus

Cell Wall

The cell wall is the organelle that provides support for the cell. Muscles of the body are what support the body and allow it to move and gives the body its strength.

Liver

The cell membrane protects the cell from unwanted substances and surroundings. Skin is like the cell membrane because it keeps all the bacteria out of the body and keeps what the body needs in and protected.

The nucleus controls and maintains all cell activity. The brain is like the nucleus because it tell you what to do and how to react to certain outside situations.
