He turns to me and says, "I've never in my life told a girl that she was beautiful - you are beautiful". This statement changed everything I had ever known about him. In the beginning all he was to me was another freshmen - the weird guy who never new exactly what to say, and when he did, it would come out to be quite offensive. I told people I hated it - when actually it just made me laugh. By the time of his statement our relationship had become a lot stronger. We had grown over the summer and actually had things to say to each other. And yes, I know this is shallow, but this was basically spurred from the sudden change in his appearance. Now, we have become so close - he is my best friend. I never expected our relationship to mean so much to me. It is definitely a friendship that runs layers deep, not just on the surface.

Sun makes me warm and happy. Pretty generic I know, but think about it, the Sun is generic. Other than the fact there is only one Sun that we know of. This is my reflection and I suppose another piece. I named my reflection “Sunshine” because it reflects a lot of who I am. Plus it’s shiny, like the reflection of light when it bounces off a surface and into your eye. My two pieces may seem minimal, but for once in my life I said what I thought and kind of just left it alone. I said what need to be said and didn’t embellish it. That to me is purity. There are very few things I consider pure, but nothing is purer than thoughts. They spring from nowhere and can take you anywhere. So this “Pillow Book” is a few thoughts.
