Pet Sematary By Jackie Marcoux

During the week or so Jud decides to show them something that lies just on the outskirts of their property. A Pet "Sematary" the family feel in love with the beauty of the cemetery. There are hundreds of graves with pet names lined up in a circle with a few trees scattered around. Jud seemed a little off when he was there and it struck Louis as strange.

The next week or so Louis is at work(a college hospital) and hears two girls scream. He runs out into the lobby to find a man lying on the ground with a cracked open skull and multiple cuts on his body. He drags him into the examination room and tried the best he can to stop the bleeding but he knows that it is hopeless. The man (Victor Pascow) is making terrible gurgling sounds and all of a sudden he opens his eyes and says as clear as day "The Pet Sematary" and dies. Louis is convicted that he didn't say it. "But it is all to real" he says.

The story begins with the Creed family moving from busy Chicago to rural Maine. Louis( the father) gets a job at a college hospital. When the family reaches the house nothing seems out of sorts. As they are looking around the property a older man starts to walk over. His name is Jud. He welcomes them and invites them over later night. They walk into the house and fall in love with the old style of the house. Jud and Louis become friends very quickly and Louis looks up to him like a father figure.

Louis didn't know what to do with the bodies so he pulled Rachel out of the house and put her into a bag and lit Jud's house on fire with Gage and Jud inside and took Rachel to the Pet Sematary and said " It will be different with Rachel I swear". He too buried her in the Pet Sematary.

Rachel ended up flying back to Maine because Ellie had a dream about Gage coming back to life and conspiring to kill Louis with Victor Pascow. She flew back by herself to not find Louis in the house so she went to Jud's house and found him dead. She turned around to Gage standing there with a scalpel he ran at her and killed her. Louis walked in to see Jud and Rachel dead and he did'nt know why. Untill he heard Gage's laugh. Gage ran up to him to stab him but instead Louis stabbed him with a knife and killed him. Louis said "Sorry Gage I waited to long for you".

Louis saw how sad Rachel Ellie were over the death of Gage so he thought because they didn't notice that Church was different they wouldn't notice that Gage was different either. So when Rachel and Ellie went back to see Rachel's family he would dig Gage out of the cemetery and bury him in the Pet Sematary so he would come back.

So when he went to the cemetery he dug up his coffin and opened it up and his two year old son who has been dead for a little over a week and laying there. I won't go into detail on what is looked like because it is very graphic. But he put in a a bag and brought him to the Pet Sematary and buried him there.

I really did like this book and that is saying a lot because I don't like books. This was very interesting and if you don't mind gore and being creeped out you will like this book. You soon figure out that Stephen King is a very scary guy and you would hate to be in his mind. One thing I do really like is the descriptive manner of the book not really the description of the gore but of the characters and the scenes. And the one thing I didn't like was how the book ended becuase alot was left unsaid.

The Police came and asked him questions later that day and showed no suspicion. He was playing solitaire when he heard the back door open and he heard slow foot steps and a cold hand on his shoulder and and hollow but welcoming voice say "Darling"

After the effect of Victor Pascow's has died down Rachel, Ellie and Gage went to Chicago to visit her family. After they left it was just Louis and Church. But Church was no where to be found. Church was found hit by a car and dead in the road. Louis and Jud decided to bury him in the pet sematary, without telling he rest of his family about the incident and without knowing the effects of the pet sematary.

When Rachel and the kids returned home they didn't really notice anything to strange about Church besides his smell. Not long after Church got run over, Gage ran out into the street to be run over by a 18 wheeler. During the funeral Louis and Rachel's dad ended up getting into a fist fight and knocking over Gage's coffin almost revealing the body.

Creed house after being dead for twelve hours. This is when Louis realized this wasn't a regular sematary it brought animals back to life. But??? was that the only thing that can be brought back he thought.
