If you want be a U.S citizen, you will have to go through a process called naturalization. The purpose of taking the citizen test is to make sure you know certaian things that an american citizen is supposed to know. The naturalizaton process also tests to see if the appliciant is ready for responsiblities and, the process can be very long but worth while.
I believe that the steps are well executed and organizedl. The things that you have to do are clearly stated. Although it seems unnessary, it is a process that makes sure not discriminate. Even though it can take years to complete this process the benefits are worth it. The benefits of being a U.S. citizen include voting, government jobs, and public benefits.
It was a long and tiring process, but it was worthwhile. Me ,now, being a citizen of the U.S. has opened a lot of doors. Now I can live the American dream. If I had to go through this process again I would.
When I was in Russia life was hard. They monitored everything we did. My life as a child was not that great we were poor and people did not help you like they do here in the U.S.. I got in touch with my cousin Sophia and she told me about America and how much freedom there was, so I made a decision to move when i became of age.
I would still be in poverty most likely. It was hard in Russia because your name followed you wherever you went. I would not have meet my husband if I didn't make the decision I made. I would still be living in fear to this day if I was still lived in Russia.
I have created a fictional character. Her name is Oxana Gardener. She has been a U.S. citizen for 8 years.
Yes this has changed my life. It makes me realize how much the world has to offer. I'm glad I don't live in proverty anymore. I have a lot more freedom now. I don't have to live in fear everyday.
I arrived at the testing site bright and early. I studied the hardest I could because I wanted this. The test consisted of 20 questions and I at least had to get 14 right. Guess what I got all 20 questions right. After they tested my english to see if it was pretty good.
I was a bit nervous especially since I know people were judging my english. But mostly at the end I was excited and proud to become a U.S. citizen.
