Plant Cells

Cells are the Building Blocks of Life!

All plants are multi-cellular!

x400

A plant's cells are organized into tissues-groups of similar cells that perform a specific function in an organism.

How are cells like Ben-day dots?

But what are plant cells made of?

For example!

Plants that live on land have evolved to have special tissue called vascular tissue for transporting water, food, and waste throughout their bodies.

All cells are made up of cytoplasm. Cytoplasm is a jelly-like substance. This jelly can use and make energy, consume food, and excrete.

This jelly is alive!

ALL living things are made of cells!

The cytoplasm also includes a cell's organelles. An organelle is a subunit within a cell that has a specific function.
