The End

  • The H-8 was a chinese stealth bomber that was an improved four engine version of the H-6, and was supposed to replace the H-6 Chinese stealth bomber.
  • It was made in May 1977
  • It could hold 18 tonnes in the bomb bay
  • The only reusable weapon was the 23mm tail gun
  • The H-8 had a crew of six.

The H-8 Stealth Bomber

B-2 Sprit

  • The B-2 Spirit is a long range heavy bomber
  • It can go up to 50 000ft
  • It can go 6,000 nautical miles/knots (6904.7 miles) unrefuelled and over 10,000 nautical miles/knots (11507.7945 miles) with one refuelling
  • Its profile comes from the unique 'flying wing' construction
  • The edges of the wings are angled at 33° and the trailing edge has a double-W shape.

  • Surfaces and Edges = reflect radar signals away from radar detector
  • All the doors and opening panels on the aircraft have saw-toothed forward and trailing edges to reflect the radar
  • The bomber has a V-wing shape

F-117 NIGHTHAWK

  • Stealth planes are desingned to be "invisible" to radar. They do this by using special stealth technology
  • Technology = Shape of bomber, Material, Bomber flies under radar

Introduction

How Stealth Planes Are Designed to Suit Their Purpose

  • "invisible" to radar
  • Able to travel over enemy

territory

  • Can bomb enemies without

the worrying of them being

shot down

  • More expensive
  • Are visible to radar
  • Unable to travel over

enemy territory

  • Cannot bomb without the worrying off them being shot down
  • Cheaper

In this Presentation, we will be talking to you about stealth bombers and how they avoid being detected by radars. We will also be talking about how they are designed to suit their purpose

General Info

  • Stealth bombers are stealthy
  • They are designed to bypass enemy radar and get into enemy territory
  • While there is no plane that is invisible to radar's, stealth aircraft prevent radar's from detecting or tracking the aircraft
  • They are great for spying and are the ninjas of the air in flight
  • They are great for flight because most plane radars can't detect the stealth aircraft making it the perfect air assasain
  • The common shape for stealth bombers are W-Shape, V-Shape, and Double-W-Shape
  • Enemies won't know what hit them. Literally, they would be dead
  • The first use for stealth aircraft was the United States invasion of Panama, where they used stealth bombers to launch a devastating blow without anything detecting them.
