Video Tutorial

Notes: This guy does a great job at showing you how to set up certain things in MS word if you forget how to do it.

WARNING #1: He acknowledges that MLA is becoming LESS specific about certain things (e.g. 11 OR 12 pt. font; Calibri OR Times New Roman). Remember that your teacher ALWAYS has the final say in what your paper should look like, and I've been very specific about which fonts and formats I require.

WARNING #2: He shows you how to make a header, which I haven't covered yet. We'll do it before the end of the year, but until then, you can just skip that part of the video.

2. New Tip: Use the Works Cited Page to Help you!

1. Quick Reminders

STEP 3

  • No hyperlinks!
  • No color in final draft!
  • Try to do it as you go, not at the end. Why? Saves time, more accurate.
  • Punctuation goes OUTSIDE the parentheses ONLY. Example: Early childhood education was first studied and implemented in Germany (Tyner).

In-Text Citations
