Ransom is a book about five high schoolers: (a cheerleader, two brothers (one popular and one not so popular), a loner boy, and an average girl) who were just riding on the bus on what seemed like any other day. That is, until their replacement bus driver another man and a woman take them onto a different trail from their homes and take them captive and ask their families for a ransom. This book shows the teenagers thoughts during all of this and how their families are dealing with it and how the teenagers think their dealing with it. There are many surprises uncovered along the way.
