Job Responsibilities:

Women- Planting, Gathering, Taking care of children, making clothes

Men- Hunting and Warfare

Children- Help hunt, fish around the house, and depend on if they are a boy or girl.

Natural Environment: During the winter,the village splits up to go camp hunting and at the end of the winter they will move back to their temporary and were discarded whenever the family needed to move.

The creators of Algonquin tribes were The Great Earth Mother, Glooskap, and Malsum.Glooskap was good wise and creative.He also created plants, animals, and humans.But Malsum on the other hand was evil, destructive, and selfish.Malsum only cared about making evil things like snakes and poisonous plants.Malsum tried to kill Glooskap with an owl spear. Then he rose from the dead and killed his brother, Malsum, with a fern plant.. That is how the Algonquin thought the Earth came from. The definition of orgin story is things that a group of people tell about where they came from and how the Earth came to be.

Vegetation(plants and trees): They took bark from birch trees to make clothes, canoes and other artifact.

Animal Life: Deer/beaver/bear/turkeys/squirrel/chipmunk/ fish and other things in the lake,rivers and in the woods.

The native americans (the mohegan) originated from cordiller ice sheet. The native americans moved because they were following their food, one reason because their were no stores like their is now. Native people got to the usa well many people say they got to the the usa because their was a land bridge (beringia) connecting asia and the usa when the mammoths were still alive (they are exctinct now). The mohegan probably settled where they are there was more food where they were, and the weather might have been nicer there. The native might found more supplies, and had lots of room there.

Benefits of Natural Environment: They liked living there because they had birch wood,oak trees,and maple trees for protecting deer,beavers and other wildlife. animals they ate turkey to and drank water.

Disadvantages of Natural Environment: The weather is hot in summer and cold in winter and sometimes cold and hot in the fall.

Tribal adaptations: They ate Beaver,Turkey,and drank water and ate deer and other animals.

Shelter: they lived in wigwams made of sticks,birch wood,oak trees and other things.
