Details of the night on which Azaria Disappeared

What lead to have been one of the most known and exhausting cases in the history of Australia started out as a holiday trip to Ayers Rock (Uluru), Northern Territory. On 13 of August 1980 the family hit the roads to Central Australia for a holiday, arriving 3 days after on the 16th of August where they pitched a tent near their car next to a camp site.

The day after their arrival on the 17th of August, baby Azaria was asleep in a tent with her 4 year old brother, later heard crying from her tent at around 8.00 pm. When her mother Lindy Chamberlain heard the cry she went to check up on Azaria, where she saw blood and a missing Azaria. She later reported that she saw a dingo.

The evidence that was used initially to support the idea that a dingo took the baby.

There was no evidence that supported the fact that Azaria was killed in any other way or anyway of knowing that her parents killed her.

The result of the initial inquest why the NT Police doubted the dingo story.

Soon after a tourist found a baby’s vest and jumpsuit, later confirmed to be Azaria’s. A forensic examination of the clothes said that there wasn't any dingo bite marks or saliva on any of them.

Azaria Chamberlain

When Lindy was accused of murder and the ‘Forensic Evidence’ that was used to convict her.

What you think of the ‘Forensic Evidence’ presented in court.

The forensic evidence that was present in court was 1 of the most disappointing things in Australian history, because what they presented as evidence was false evidence and made a whole continent think that Lindy Chamberlin killed her child and sentenced her for life in prison for something that she didn't do.

Later examination of Azaria’s clothing revealed disturbing evidence. Blood was found on Azaria’s clothes, blood shaped into a woman’s hand. this new discovery was evidence enough to open the case yet again. Examination of the Chamberlain’s car uncover a pair of scissors and Azaria’s blood. Numerous experts said that the tears on Azeria’s clothing were actually made by a pair of scissors not by a dog's teeth's.

How she felt when charged and then convicted of murder.

What evidence or testimony was overlooked at the trials.

To go through something as excruciating and horrible as having your daughter killed is horrible without any added suspicions but to be both be innocent and charged and convicted of your own daughters murder is unimaginable. i cant even think about something like that but i imagine it was the most terrifying position to be in when a whole continent thinks your guilty. she must have felt like there was no one was on her side and felt really lonely.

The evidence that was overlooked was that there was no body, lack of motive and eye witness. Also the blood found in the Chamberlains car was no blood.

How you think Lindy felt when the dingo took her child.

I think that it would be any mothers worst nightmare to have her child taken by a dingo and and killed when she was responsibility as a mother to take care and defend her child from any danger.

The evidence that made Lindy look guilty to the jury.

If there were any external factors that influenced the jury.

A woman’s blood shaped finger print on a jacket that was found later by a tourist and the jacket was also looked to be torn apart by scissors. There was a scissors found in the Chamberlain's and there was blood on it.

What did the Australian people thought of how Azaria was killed.

Lindy chamberlain was described as insane. In her trials Lindy Chamberlian was too calm and her nasal voice, her cool attitude did nothing to help her case.

Many people thought that a dingo couldn't kill a baby and that Lindy chamberlain killed her child. But later in 2001 when a 9 year old boy was killed by a dingo, people had to change their beliefs.
