Key Concepts

Philosophy of Man

The goal of this therapy is to see individuals come to complete freedom from the bondage and oppression of the things they are dealing with.

  • Man is depraved and sinful
  • Brokenness and hurt is a result of sin
  • We have redemption and freedom in Christ

Freedom: Individuals can be free from oppression and the things which weigh them down. Christ liberates us and has given us the counseling process as a tool.

Holiatry & Flourishing

Wilderness

Man is a complete person and we have to give attention to all parts him. Experiential therapy is able to do this. Furthermore, through the counseling environment created, the client has all they need to flourish and be made new.

The aspect of wilderness is important because it takes the client out of the chaos of the regular world, into an environment that is quiet and still. Creation is God's general revelation to us and he often speaks loudly when we choose to take time to be with him in creation and listen.
