Earthquake Resistant Buildings

Tension

In buildings with heavy tops there is more strain on the foundation making it more likely to snap in an earthquake with the added tension on the foundation

To prevent this from happening we put the part to support the egg on the bottom

Shock Absorption

Research shows that a shock absorber could

reduce the force of an impact by 98%.

For shock absorbers we are using the marshmallows at regular intervals

Tension

When an earthquake occurs it kind of shoves a building sideways, if a buildings sides are straight without joints that will allow it to move back and forth it will snap

To prevent our spaghetti sticks from snapping we are breaking them in half and connecting them again with marshmallows
