What is Gourmet popcorn?
To this day, popcorn is a treat for anyone, anywhere! This easy to get, and delicious snack is something we will all enjoy, for generations to come!
No one really knows when gourmet popcorn came about, but it was around 10-15 years ago. Gourmet popcorn is especially grown in a special type of soil, has different texture, pops forty to sixty times larger than its original seed! When the kernels are grown they are stored in airtight containers and stored at a temperature of seventy degrees precisely. It is then flavored using quality seasonings and grade A caramel. In other words, its plain FANCY!

Today we have a variety of popcorn flavours! here are a few:
F.W. Rueckheim introduced a molasses-flavored "Candied Popcorn", the first caramel corn; his brother, Louis, slightly altered the recipe and introduced it as Cracker Jack popcorn in 1896
Popcorn in the Movies
Apparently back in the old days, popcorn vendors would "set up shop" outside theaters. The theater managers didn't like this, thinking it was a distraction. But moviegoers disagreed, frequently ducking out to buy popcorn and then ducking back in to see the movie. Before long, the managers decided to set up their own poppers inside the theater and soon popcorn was in theaters everywhere!
Where it all started...
It is believed that the first use of wild and early cultivated corn was popping it when it's kernels were dried and then heated. The Europeans first came in contact with popcorn when the Aboriginal people showed them the technique of popping dried kernels over a heat source.
