Why Cheaper Permits are Beneficial?

October 1: Begin to work on the project (close off the area where the parking lot will be made next to the Commuter Satellite parking lot).

October 3: Leveling the ground complete.

October 8: Begin pouring the asphalt in sections (divide 50,000 sq. ft. into 4 sections).

October 15: First section complete, begin on second section.

October 22: Second section complete, begin on third section.

October 29: Third section complete, begin on fourth section.

November 4: Fourth section complete, begin painting lines for parking spots.

November 6: Lines complete, clean up the project.

November 7: Project completely finished

20 students that represented for Texas Tech University.

  • if current parking affects their ability to get to class on time

  • Result of the survey:
  • Most students voted that the cost of parking should be between $50-$100 for a full year with at least one free parking lot on campus.
  • Student parking is too expensive

  • Students already pay thousands in tuition

  • Easier to get to class

  • Less parking citations/boots

  • Rise in class attendance

Why an Extra Parking Lot is Beneficial?

  • You should now have the option to select the term in which you would like to purchase your permit for.

  • Select the term you want, and then click "Next".

By the end of these instructions, you will know exactly how to purchase a parking permit from Texas Tech University.

  • Using a computer or laptop, open up the internet.

  • Open the Texas Tech Parking Services page by typing this link into the search bar:

www.parking.ttu.edu

  • Enter your eRaider credentials. After that, click "Sign In"

  • If this page does not pop up, it means that your computer already automatically signed into your eRaider account. In this case, disregard this step and move onto step 5.

  • Under the title "Step 2 of 6:" there are several boxes with a different Texas Tech parking lot labeled on each one. Decide on the parking lot that you would like to park in.

*You may click "Click Here to View Maps" to see the location.

  • Then, select which parking lot you would like by clicking on the box with your selected parking lot's name on it. Once it turns red, scroll down to the next step.

  • On the TTU parking services website, click the tab that reads "Parking on Campus"

  • Then, click the link "Purchase."

Importance of Instructions

On this page, if you would like to receive updates about parking, enter your phone number and cell phone service provider.

  • Students need to know how to buy one of the cheaper permits
  • The process of buying a ticket will remain the same
  • Students have to purchase the new permits in order for the proposal to be a success
  • It is important to make this proccess as available as possible so that students can easily buy

Incorporating The Instructions and Proposal

The instructions to buy a parking permit are an important aspect of our proposal. Creating cheaper parking would cause a larger amount of students to need to know how to buy a permit.

  • Review your order to ensure that everything is correct.

  • Click "Submit"

  • Under "Rules and Regulations" read through the terms and conditions of buying a TTU parking permit. If you agree to them, click on the small box underneath them.

  • Click "Next/Save"

On "Step 5 of 6:" Click on your selected form of payment.

  • In "Step 4 of 6:" Add the information of the vehicle you would like to register. Type in the information by following the instructions of this section.

  • Click "Next/Save" box in the bottom right corner of the screen.

  • (Optional) If the parking lot you would like is not available and you would like to be put on a waitlist follow this step:

  • Under "Step 3 of 6": Select the parking lot you would like by clicking on the corresponding box. Then, scroll down.
  • Once the new page loads, move your mouse over the link titled "Permits."

  • By doing this, a dropdown menu should appear. Click on the link titled "Purchase Permit."
  • Access to a computer and internet

  • Credit card/Debit card or cash if needed

  • Texas Tech eRaider username and password

  • License plate number and other information

  • After you are logged in, a new page will pop up.

  • Click on the link that is titled "Texas Tech eRaider Sign In". After doing this, a new page will load.

*If you are a visitor, then click "Are you a visitor?" and create your username and password. Then you can continue with the instructions.
