If odd and even numbers are colored differently it displays the same pattern as the Sierpinski Triangle.
The Triangle can also show how many ways heads and tails can combine on a coin. This will show the probability of any combination.

For example, let H be heads and T be tails. If a coin is tossed 3 times, the possibilities are HHH, HHT HTH HTT, THH THT TTH, TTT thus illustrating the 1 3 3 1 pattern.
If two numbers right next to each other are added together, they equal the number directly below both numbers.
