The Domino theory states that if a country falls under the rule of communism, then neighboring countries will soon follow, like a line of dominoes.

-War was made of short bursts of fighting in open ground.
Fighting in open ground made the shots and airstrikes towards each side quickly done between each other. This meant that the battles between enemies would be short, defeating a side quickly.
-War was taken on using the guerrilla style of fighting.
Vietnam would not fight planned wars against America unless it would do good for Vietnam. They had done so when Ho Chi Minh had orderd this, with also making "hit and run" attacks and ambushes.

Neither side was either winning or losing near the end of the battles between North and South Korea. Either side also did not want to be fighting anymore, which lead to the decision of splitting Korea into half, known as the 38th Parallel.
-Ended with the US retreating, and signing a
peace treaty with North Vietnam.
North Vietnam put the treaty out there towards South Vietnam, because they heard that the United States wanted to withdraw from the war. They got South Vietnam to sign the treaty, meaning communism had "won".
