The research used self-made questionnaire as a main data gathering instruments.
In preparing questionnaire the researchers used book, journals, unpublished researchers related to the present study.
The research submitted the sample draft to the thesis adviser for validation, after the incorporated corrections and suggestion, the researchers arrived at the final draft of the questionnaire for the respondents.
Option Scale range Verbal interpretation
5 4.50 - 5.00 Strongly Agree (SA)
4 3.50 - 4.49 Agree (A)
3 2.50 - 3.49 Neutral (N)
2 1.50 - 2.49 Disagree (D)
1 1.00 - 1.49 Strongly Disagree (SD)
The following statistical tools will be used on the data gathered to analyzed and interpret the data such as percentage, frequency distribution, ranking and scoring.
Percentage was applied in analyzing the proportion of cases by which the respondents were distributed into their perspective sections. Hence, P=f/n(100) where P=Percentage, f=frequency, n=total number of respondents and 100=constant multiplier.
Frequency Distribution was used to determine the distribution of the respondents according to their profile.

Scoring was used to measured the response from the extent of factors affecting the academic performance of grade 11 HUMSS students in general mathematics at Teodoro M. Luansing College of Rosario using following quantification based on weighted mean. The scoring used in measuring the response from the final instrument are interpreted using the following quantification based on weighted mean.
Generally, the studies conducted by both foreign and local researchers are related to the present study since all dealt with academic performance of students regarding in mathematics.
Furthermore, the aforementioned literature and studies are not duplication of the present study but replication of foregoing investigation. However, those literature and studies reviewed gave the researchers much insights into the problem under investigation.
This chapter covers the introduction, conceptual framework, statement of the problem, objectives, significance, scope and limitation and definition of terms related to the study.

The following terms are defined for the better understanding of the study.
1. Academic Performance. It is the extent to which a student achieves their short or long term educational goals. In this study, it pertains the Factors that affect to the Performance of Grade 11 HUMSS in General Mathematics subject.
Weighted Mean it was used to determined the factors affecting the academic Performance of grade 11 HUMSS students in General Mathematics at Teodoro M. Luansing College of Rosario.
Ranking was used to determine the level of factors affecting the academic performance of Grade11 HUMSS students in General Mathematics at Teodoro M. Luansing College of Rosario.
Through the above review of literature and studies, the direction of the present study was charted. The ideas from these readings helped in the conceptualization of this research. Since the present study concentrates on the factors affecting the academic performance of grade 11 HUMSS students in General Mathematics at Teodoro M. Luansing College of Rosario and implication of this foregoing study supplied the needed concepts and pointed out areas that are needed to be investigated.
Furthermore, all cited literatures and studies are of great help to the present researchers for the deeper meaning and understanding of many items in the investigation, they are of great information in the formulation of the conclusions and recommendations.
3. General mathematics. It is the quality, numbers and structure, space and change. In this study, it pertains to the subject that affects the academic performance of Grade 11 HUMSS
4. HUMSS Strand. It is the strand who is good in public speaking taking up journalism, communication arts, liberal arts, education and other social science related courses in college. In this study it pertains to the strand of Grade 11 HUMSS students.
5. School. It is an institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environment to the teaching of the students. In this study, it pertains to the school of Grade 11 HUMSS students, Teodoro M. Luansing College of Rosario.
6. Students. It is the person who attends a school, college or university. In this study, it pertains to Grade 11 HUMSS who attending the general mathematics subject.
The present study is related to the studies of Akiri and Ugborugbo (2015), Adu and Onatunduh (2016), Lockhead and Komenan (2012) and Cunningham and Toape (2016), Manfred et al (2010), Frank (2017), Wali (2003), Oakley (2002), Gabrielle (2012), Bose (2013), Kuman (2012) and Cabahug and Ladot (2010) because the studies they made with teachers factors which is important in the learning process of the students.

This chapter presents a review and summary of literature and studies related to the study.
However the current study differs from the above mentioned in the instruments used in the checking of data and in the nature of the subject.
The studies conducted by Romer(2011), Fullarfon(2014) as cited from Cabahug and ladot (2010) because the studies they made with teachers factor which is important in the learning process of the students. However the current study differs from the above mentioned in the instruments used in the checking of data and in the nature of the subjects.
The studies conducted by Romer (2011) , Fullarfon (2004) as cited from Cabahug and Ladot (2010), Neale (2017), Overstreet, (2010), Ficarra (2011) , Smith (2010),Davinson and Levitov ( 2012) kizlile(2012) ,as cited by Oakley (2011) , Barry (2015) Yi -Guang (2016), Saburoh et.al (2015) , Charlie (2016) , Stephen et.al (2013) and Lee (2010) are similar to the present study in the sense that all emphasize the effect of students factors especially in terms of attitude, academic Performance ,fear on the subject matter , study habits ,gender and teachers effect.
This chapter introduces the presentation of the research method used in the study. It present the research design, subject of the study, data gathering instruments, data gathering procedure and statistical treatment.
This study used the descriptive method of research to determine and analyzed the factors affecting the academic performance of grade 11 HUMSS students in general mathematics at Teodoro M. Luansing College of Rosari
As cited by Calmorin (2010) descriptive researchers are valuable in providing fact on which scientific judgements maybe based, providing investigation into practices behavior method and procedures.
It also plays a large part in development of instrument for measurement of ,many things and formulate policies in the local, national, and international.
The study of koontz and Weihrich (2011) ,Robbins (2012), Saleemi (2014), Oso and Onan (2015) , Lee ,Smith and Croninser (2015) and Ruther ( 2016) is parallel to the present study because all researchers identified the effect of the environment as one of the factors affecting the Academic Performance of Respondents/ students in mathematics.
This study is related also to the one conducted by Singh et.al 2013 in the sense about family factor towards the Academic Performance of students in Mathematics.
Meanwhile, the concept related to factors affecting the Academic Performance of the students in Mathematics were found in the citation of Ceosmoe, Johneon and Elder (2010) , Tsanwan (2010) Hughes (2014), Attwood ( 2010) , Brodied (2011) , Marce (2012) , Moyana ( 2013) , Murray(2014) and Malcolm et.al (2014) , Patio ( 2011) , Xin and Kichor (2010), and Ning and Downing(2010). These focuses on other related factors such as curriculum, instructional strategies and techniques and motivation
Like the U.S, India also face challenges in establishing laws pertaining to cybercrimes due to the lack of consensus amongst jurists regarding the definition, nature, ambition and types of cybercrimes.
Some jurists, believe that cybercrimes are not new but traditional crimes committed with the use of new technology and thus they doesn’t require any new or separate law. On the other hand, other jurists, believe that cybercrimes are new forms of crime, having different nature and impact compared to traditional crimes and hence requires new and separate laws to deal with investigations (Nagarathna, 2013).
Conflicting interests and lack of cooperation amongst investigators of different jurisdictions, at all levels, and both inside and outside of the country often hinder investigations and prosecutions of cybercrimes.
