Many people remember Abraham Lincoln as honest Abe. He was the president that issued the Emancipation Proclomation letting all slaves free. Lincoln was envolved with a lot of slavery problems during the Civil War. He faced many problems and started to encourage the South to join the Union again. Not many people know if it was actually him who decided he wanted the slaves free but he allowed it. Many people know about him because of how well he made descisions to solve problems and how he was such a good leader. I think that Lincoln was one of the best presidents we've had ecspecially because he completley solved the slavery problem.
Roosevelt had been a very busy president right from the start. He had made many moves like closing down all the banks, making speeches, and doing his best to help the Depression. Roosevelt was also the person responsible for the New Deal which was to help the lose of jobs. He was a very good and hardworking leader and would never stop working. He was also a president through World War II, which was a very tough time. He even was elected four times, showing that he did a great job and that everyone liked him. This proves how hard he worked to keep our country going.
George Washington was the first president of the United States. He had been a good leader all of his life helping in the wars. He was even named the commander in cheif during the American Revolution. He was soon choosen as president. Washington worked hard to improve the future of the U.S , and set examples of fairness, and humbleness. Even though there were only around 4 million people in 11 states he knew he needed to be a good leader so he could impact the future. He was a big part of the wars that were happening, and was a very humble leader considering he was the first president.

Grover Clevland was very busy during his term. Also considering the fact that he had to fight hard to win the election to become president. He was always wanting to reduce governemnt spending, and had been using the veto many more times than any other president up to him. He had made many people mad, by angering the railroads, plus he had vetoed so many things. Although while doing this he had done many things to help out the people too, like helping farmers with their land. Cleveland was very busy but never gave up.
Not many people know about Millard Fillmore being a president because he didn't do much during his presidency. When he took office he personally didn't like slavery but didn't do anything to help it. He said that he wanted to preserve the Union and during his term he kept the country mostly the same. Slavery was a big issue. The Northerner's and Southerner's argued a lot, and Millard Fillmore tried to keep the country together. Another thing that was happening during his term was between the Congress members. Many of them resigned and didn't like that he didn't want to be a Republican or a Democrate. This all happened during the slavery problems.
