Within the Northern Mindanao Development Corridor is the Business and Industrial Cluster. It is the gateway to domestic markets in Visayas and Luzon. Heavy industries are prominently present in this area.

It shall optimize Mindanao’s advantages in terms of trade and economic ties with the BIMP EAGA and the ASEAN as well as open trade and economic cooperation with other countries—transforming Mindanao as a haven for investments characterized by less-restrictive investment, reduced cost of doing business and having a competitive environment for investments.
