Anne Frank Timeline
Transcript of Anne Frank Timeline
Her parents were Otto and Edith Frank
She has an older sister named Margot June 1933 Anne and her family moved to Amsterdam because of Hitler and the nazi party taking control over Germany
Mr. Frank had also gotten a job in Amsterdam at Opekta Works which was a company that produced fruit extract called pectin June 12, 1942 Anne recives a diray for her 13th birthday that she had saw in a shop window eariler
She adored her diary so much that she continued to write in it almost constantly
Some of the things she wrote about were the German Occupation in The Netherlands and the restrictions on the Dutch Jews June 6, 1942 (Monday) Anne and her family move into the sercet annex which was located above Opekta Works
The family was supposed to go into hiding later but Margot got a letter to report to a work camp so they had to leave sooner
The only other people who knew they were in hiding was Miep Gies, her husband, Victor Krugler, Johannes Kleinman, Biep Voshuiji and her father. these people also helped create the secret annex. Hitler came to power in Germany after joining the Nazi Party. He created the Nuremberg Laws which took away all of the Jews rights. All of the anti-semitism hapened because of Hitler in charge. The Secret Annex is where Annes family and four others hid durring the Holocaust. It was right above Otto Franks work so durring work hours they had to be extremely quiet or some of the workers might hear them. The entrance to the rooms were behind a bookcase. July 13, 1942 Another family had moved in with the Franks in hiding. the family's name was the van Pels.
The family had three members, Mr. and Mrs. van Pel and their son, Peter, who Anne had very close relationshiops with
Fritz Pfeffer, a jewish denstist, also moved in with the Frank family in
In her diray, she called the van Pels the van Dans and Mr. pfeffer Mr. Dussel protect their identity if any Nazis got hold for the book January 12, 1944 Anne begins to write about how she liked Margot more than her mother since her mother is always correctimg her about what she does
It isn't just her mother, everyone else corrects her on her attitude such as Mr. Van Pels and espescially Mr. Pfeffer!
Anne than later wrote that she hated her mother. She than revised that diary entry becuase she realized how cruel she was and began to treat her mother with more respect April 5, 1944 This is one of the last diary entries she wrote.
This entry is about how she wanted to become a journalist I finally realized that I must do my schoolwork to keep from being ignorant, to get on in life, to become a journalist, because that’s what I want! I know I can write ..., but it remains to be seen whether I really have talent ...
And if I don’t have the talent to write books or newspaper articles, I can always write for myself. But I want to achieve more than that. I can’t imagine living like Mother, Mrs. van Daan and all the women who go about their work and are then forgotten. I need to have something besides a husband and children to devote myself to! ...
I want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people, even those I’ve never met. I want to go on living even after my death! And that’s why I’m so grateful to God for having given me this gift, which I can use to develop myself and to express all that’s inside me!
When I write I can shake off all my cares. My sorrow disappears, my spirits are revived! But, and that’s a big question, will I ever be able to write something great, will I ever become a journalist or a writer?
