Nathan Hale was executed at 11:00am on September 22, 1776. His last words were "I only regret having one life to lose for my country"

General Washington asked the Patriot's Army if anyone was willing to go undercover to spy on the British. Nobody volunteered except Hale.

The place where the 13 Colonies troops found their hope to win the battle during the winter of 1778.

Only 3 days after Hale crossed enemy lines, the Battle of Long Island started.

Hale was planning on going back to Connecticut, where the American troops base is located, on September 20.

The first shots fired that started the American Revolution in April 1775.

The 13 Colonies defeated the British. The 13 Colonies became one country.

The Battle of Long Island Defeat of the Americans

On his way back on September 21, 1776, to George Washington, Hale was caught. Nobody knows for sure by whom.

He was taken in that night and questioned.

The battle started right before dawn on August 27, 1775. The British won. The American troops evacuated to Connecticut.

Nathan Hale was a Captain during the Battle of Brooklyn.

Hale went to Long Island, where the British Army Camps were on August 27.

He had gathered information about where they're attacking.
