Jericho is the oldest cities of the world, the city is located 36 km East of Jerusalem, and bordered with the Dead Sea, it’s considered the Palestinian borders with Jordan and its main gateway to the world.

The number of the population in mid 2011 is 20253 inhabitants. Male percentage is almost equal to Female percentage.

It has many historical, religious and tourist monuments, famous for the cultivation of bananas and dates, temperate climate makes the city a favorite winter resort.

It is an important agricultural area, the production of fresh fruits and vegetables all year round.

The idea of developing a park in Jericho city started in 2006, as a center for:

JAIP company (JAIPco.) established in 2012 in order to develop, manage and operate Jericho Agro Industrial Park in Jericho city

JAIP Area

Total area is 1115donum divided by three phases.

- First phase on 140donum have been completely developed.

- Second phase on 475donum will be developed soon.

- Third phase on 500donum is on Area C and it's not developed yet.

JAIP Progress

- More than 450 letter of interest (LOI’s) were submitted to JAIPco.

- 96 memorandum of understanding (MOU) were signed with the JAIPco.

- 40 companies signed lease agreements and ready to start operation

- Eight companies started the construction works and interior finishes of their factories and to be operated by the year 2017

- Three factories have already started their production operation

- The effort to start Phase Two at 475donum

- Potential to be Mixed Industries not just Agro-Industrial

- Potential demand on phase two on mixed industries
