Children and teens are oblivious to the importance of not sharing personal information online, and even if they do know, there are many privacy issues that can still occur.
Privacy Issues
- Once a photograph of piece of personal information is put online it is open to the public.
- Sites like facebook and My Space automatically inform all of the friends on your list if you make a profile change, or recieve a message. If a suggestive photograph or rude remark is put out then it can reach a large number of people instantly.
- Most to all businesses use online social networks to evaluate people who try for the job, many places have not hired because of bad content on the interviewees page.
41% of sexual predators are between 26 and
39 years old. The risk of someone you meet
online being an internet predator, is high.
Sexual Predators
- Internet sex predators are everywhere.
- Young people (teens and children) are hurt because they think that online adults love them and are to be trusted.
- Predators do not love their victims, they use them.

distracted and can overuse online

- Overuse can make them isolated from the real world.
- Neglect offline existence.
- May be very distracting for school or other professions.
Although children often get taught about cyber bullying,
they usually ignore the lecture. They think that no one
would do that do them, but they are wrong.
Cyberbullying
- People can spread crude rumors using profanity, vulgar language, threats, or intimidation in electronic communication; or using technology to impersonate or stalk someone. They do this by gossiping, giving insults, and potraying sexual harassment.
- Cyber bullying can damage a person's reputation and self esteem. The damage can cause them to take their own lives.
- Negative information posted online can spread to hundreds of people.

There he met a girl in England. She was 11 years old.
Studabaker lived in Michigan. He made friends with
the girl online. It was not a healthy friendship.
Studabaker was 32 years old and an Internet Predator."
