A recreational Therapists interests me for many reasons. One would be they are helping individuals with severe dissabilities. Then they also help them by using activities such as art, walks, sports and more. Anything that seems to fit the clients needs. What i like most about this career is that it can also build more confidence in a person.

-Recreation Therapy and Therapeutic Recreation is offered in Kwatlen Polytechnic University and Douglas College

RECREATIONAL THERAPIST

-use tests, observations and medical records to assess clients

-Develop treatment programs based on sports

- Attend team meetings and events

work with the community; meet clients in office, lead a gym class, take people on nature walks etc

lecture clients on values of recovery till 10am

Chart results,purchase equipment and get materials ready till 12pm

lunch break!

staff meeting on issues and concerns

one on one counseling with a client to create an individual program

conduct a group activity; walk, sports etc till 5pm

finish charting information then go home
