Most Nintendo users played their video game consoles so much that in order to get the games to start they had to blow into the cartridge and adjust the spring in the console slot.

- Trend lasted for so long because of individuals competing to get the fastest speed or new methods of solving the cube.
- Was not popular until the late 1970’s when a business owner that owned the company “Ideal Toy Corp” sold Rubik’s cubes.
- 350 million cubes sold until 2009.
- Trend now stands today as a niche. However people still use these cubes for competitions or simply for fun.

-The Jelly Shoe was a fashion in the early 1980's-early 2000's.
-Jelly shoes are made out of Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic and came in different variety of brands and colours.
-After 2006, the production of jelly shoes started to decrease.
-Et The Extra-Terrestrial was a movie released in 1982, directed by Steven Spielberg.
-Talked about a boy meeting and befriending an alien, eventually his mission is to help the alien contact his home.
-Became a success since lots were interested in the topic of extra terrestrial activity at the time.
-Also a success because of how well it was made, intent was to the make the viewer feel empathy for the alien.
- Re-released twice, latest being 2002, but
since then it has dyed out.

- The Jean Jacket was a popular trend and fad and was made for rebellious reasons to contradict the formal wear and style commonly used.
- Cowboys, hipsters, popstars, truckers, teens, and social media icons had jean jackets.
- Is now a niche after a huge decline after its fad period.
- people still buy them and you can find them still in stores.
