MAIN CONCERN

Grecia Mena A01631323

Paola Morales A01631035

Daana Maldonado A01631026

Their main concern is the war and conflicts between nations. As pacifists, they just want peace, and they're against violence.

They believe this can be possible and want to achieve it.

Their main concern is lose power or don't have any power or something to stand out from the other nations. They want to be power nations with resources, good economy and military strenght.

APPROACH TO PEACE

Institutional reform through democratization, open markets and international law and organization.

They try to avoid violence as much as possible. talking and discussing about their problems until they get a solution.

Protect sovereign autonomy and deter rivals through military preparedness and alliances.

They only care about their selves because of the nationalism they have and the things that concerns them and can get something of it

LIBERALISM

REALISM

A paradigm predicated on the hope that the application of reason and universal ethics to international relations can lead to a more orderly, just and cooperative world; liberalism assumes that anarchy and war can be police by institutional reforms that empower international organization and law

Is based on the premise that the world politics is essentialy and unchangeably a struggle among

self-interested states for power and position under anarchy, with each competing state pursuing its own national interests.

THE PERCEPTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL SYSTEM

They believe that there isn't any need of having wars and violence to all agree in something.

They want to have conferences and meeting were all the represent ants of the states can talk and discussed about the problems they are having.

-states

-institutions

-corporations

-States

They see the other states as a way for them to get what they want, making alliances, agreements, etc.

But it its all for their benefit, and the ones against them will pay for it

SECURITY DILEMMA

BALANCE OF POWERS

Tendency of states to view the defensive arming of adversaries as threatening.

EXAMPLE:

In WWII there were a balance of power between Germany and URSS because both of their military army were equally strong.

In the cold war the USA built a nuclear weapon and in response, URSS built another one. They compited for 44 years in which if someone do something the other one responded in the same way.
