Danny Rolling

Method of Operation

Danny broke into the dorms and mutilated the bodies of his victims, decapitating one. He would use mirrors and lighting to stage the bodies, making the scene more gruesome for whoever found it.

On May 18, 1990, Danny and his father got in a fight. Danny’s father tried to shoot him, but missed every time. Danny then pulled out his own handgun and shot his father in the face and the abdomen. Danny’s Father lost an eye, became deaf in one ear, and walked with a limp.

Victimology

All of the girls that Danny killed were petite Caucasian brunettes with brown eyes.

Danny was arrested on a burglary charge, and when the police investigated, they discovered a knife that matched the wounds on the victims. The police also found folk songs that Rolling had sung about the murders. Danny was sentenced to death in Florida State Prison.
