- trainees are based in: Brussels, Luxembourg (50 ppl), Grange (DG Sante), London, and Representations (DG COMM)

Selection procedure

3-step recruitment process

- application (next deadline: 29 January!!)

- Pre-selection/eligibility check (only 12 days for uploading)

  • assessed on the basis of: academic profile, language skills, etc.
  • 2,800 candidates are shortlisted

- getting in a virtual Blue Book (a big pool)

  • selection is according to specific needs and criteria (languages, studies, experience, etc.)
  • 650 trainees are recruited

Who can apply?

1. degree of at least 3 years of study (minimum a BA)

2. very good knowledge of English or French or German (C1/C2 level)

3. very good knowledge of a second EU official language (required for nationals of EU countries).

4. no age limit

5. national quota

What is this traineeship about?

- paid traineeship of 5 months with the EC or some executive bodies and agencies

- starting 1st of March or 1st October

- hands-on experience in the international and multicultural environment

- it can be an important enrichment for your further career.

Working experience before the traineeship

- offline editor of a daily talkshow called Ridikül

- radio presenter in Budapest

- journalist at a women's magazine :)

- online editor at an economic journal

- but no experience at any international organisation
