The piece i just sang was a sad song. The emotions toward this song was very sad and emotional. My theory is that people listen to sad songs like this for reasons like they're really depressed and people listen to these types of songs to match their feelings.

People listen to music for different reasons. People listen to music for emotional effects like happiness, frustration, surprise, fear, excitement or sadness. Songs also help with memory as they take you back to what you were doing when you first heard them. Also music calms you down like when you are in a bad mood, makes you happy when you are sad and most of all music helps you concentrate. Music is thought to be the first form of art to be born , it has proved to play an essential part in our lives. Hardly is there anyone who has never listened to a song? Usually, people listen to music to entertain themselves. It sometimes helps to eliminate stress and pressure. That is why music can be played everywhere; everyone, after working and studying. People needs music to refill their power. Rock music was created mostly to Reflect anger, where as ballads have come out from romantic love stories, or from a painful heart. So, music is the reflection of our emotions.

Happy or angry
That piece that you just listened to showed that you're happy. The other emotions towards this is also means like you're determined, angry, brave, and full of energy. My Theory for this piece is that whenever people is angry or happy, they would listen to these types of songs to be relaxed and it can also calm them down sometimes and it matches how they feel.
