Genetics is the study of heredity and the variation of inherited characteristics. Genetics play a huge role in our athletic ability. 20 to 80 percent of our athletic ability is due to genes. Usually your athletic ability can be changed though.
Your athletic ability is mostly determined by genes but you can also change your abilities with physical exercise. Physical exercise plays a big role in athletic potential. Someone who is more likely to be nonathletic may change that by physical exercise. But genetics determine your athletic performance the most.
Athletic ability comes from your parents genes
and this is how you are either athletic or nonathletic. Of course there is somewhere in between the two possibilities though as well.
In conclusion, genes significantly affect your athletic ability. Thanks so much for watching!! :)
