Transcript of Barack & Romney Debate

Romney & Obama Debate About Barack Obama Barack Hussein Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Barack is the 44th and first black president in the US. When Barack was young he was a teacher before pursuing a political career, and was a civil rights lawyer. Obama was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 96, serving from 1997 to 2004. He was elected for president in 2008. Mitt Romney Willard Mitt Romney was born March 12, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. He is the son of the former Michigan Governor George Romney. He founded the investment firm Bain Capital and later in his life he ran for the Massachusetts Senate in 1994, and lost to Ted Kennedy. He also became governor of Massachusetts in 2003, and made a ran for the Republican nomination in the 2008 election. War President Barack Obama decided to end the war in Iraq and is now planning on having all soldiers out by the end of 2014. Agreed to cut military spending over every 10 years or more. The Issues On my next slides I will explain the issues that Obama and Romney would want to change if one individual would become president. . . Mitt Romney endorses the end of the war in Afghanistan in 2014. Romney wants to spend money on military funds adding almost $100 billion on the Pentagon budget. Terrorism Guns President Obama has not pushed for stricter gun laws. He has signed laws allowing concealed weapons in national parks and in checked baggage on Amtrak trains. People have their opinions on renewing the ban of assault weapons but nothing has been done about it yet.
UPDATE (3/12/13):After Sandy Hook, Obama has started making some gun control changes. Mitt Romney opposes stricture gun laws and doesn't believe we need any more gun laws. After the Colorado shooting occurred, he said he would make sure law enforcement punishes people that disobey the current gun laws. JetSotaaF.L.Y Education Romney: Supports NCLB, he doesn't think government should have charge on education. If we give financial aid, colleges would just charge more money. Also he wants companies to provide financial aid instead of governments. Obama: Wants the government to not torture people to get information out of them. He believes that whenever we catch a terrorist, we send them to Guantanamo Bay (prison that holds terrorists in Cuba). Romney: Should remain treating them the way they are.(Waterboarding is for terrorsits). I don't think that nothing is wrong with waterboarding. Foreigners doesn't get freedom like people in America especially terrorists. Obama: Disagrees with No Child Left Behind because it made schools worse because the schools didn't meet the standards and then lost money and got even worse. He lets schools meet different requirements. Supporting people to attend college by giving them tax credits and financial aid.
