Diagnosis

A physical exam may be done to diagnose Albinism however a molecular genetic test is needed to distinguish the type of Albinism. A sequence analysis is done to identify the type of mutation.

Signs of disease

Preventive measures

There are no ways to prevent OCA 4.

If someone with albinism wants to have children, they need to see a genetic counselor to discuss their odds of producing a child with Albinism.
