Where is MoMA?

The Museum of Modern Art first opened in 1929 on 730 Fifth Avenue, everything was housed on the 12th floor. 3 years later in 1932 they moved to their permanent location, 11 West 53rd Street. In 2004 they went through a renovation in which they expanded and changed the look of the museum.

The Museum of Modern arts has a large collection of great paintings by great artists. However, they also hold many exhibitions where they show off new pieces of art made by more modern artists. Today the Museum even has an online store with many different items to buy. The original intention of MoMA was to help the visitors understand the meaning of modern arts. They hold over 150,000 drawings, paintings and sculptures. They have 22,000 films, 4 Million film stills over 300,000 books and more than 70,000 files on different artists.
