Track sport
- Track and field is a sport which includes athletic contests established on the skills of running, jumping, and throwing.
- It is one of the oldest sports. In ancient times, it was an event held in conjunction with festivals and sports meets such as the Ancient Olympic Games in Greece.

Law 9: The Corner Kick
Law 1: The Field of Play and ball
- A corner kick is awarded to the offensive team when the defensive team plays the ball out of bounds over its goal line. The ball is placed within the corner area and is kicked back into play by the offensive team. Players can score directly off a corner kick.
- Soccer can be played on either grass or artificial turf, but the surface must be green in color.
- The field must be rectangular in shape, and distinctly marked by two short goal lines and two long-touch lines.
Athletics and swimming
- The running events, which include sprints, middle and long-distance events, race walking and hurdling, are won by the athlete with the fastest time.
- There are also combined events, such as pentathlon consisting of five events, heptathlon consisting of seven events, and decathlon consisting of ten events.
Law 2: The Number of Players
Law 8: Free Kicks
- Matches are generally played by two teams of 11 to a side. The goalkeeper is included in the 11-player total.
- If a team cannot field at least seven players at match time, the game is a forfeit.
- Free Kick is broken into two categories, direct and indirect.
- A direct kick can be shot directly into the opponent’s goal without touching another player.
- An indirect free kick is indicated by the referee raising his hand during the kick.
- An indirect kick can only go into the goal if it has subsequently been touched by another player before it enters the goal.
- The jumping and throwing events are won by the athlete who achieves the greatest distance or height.
- Records are kept of the best performances in specific events, at world and national levels, rightdown to a personal level.
- However, if athletes are deemed to have violated the event rules or regulations, they are disqualified from the competition and their marks are erased.
- Track and field is categorised under the umbrella sport of athletics, which also includes road running, cross country running, and race walking.
Law 7: Fouls and Misconduct
Law 3: The Players’ Equipment
A direct free kick is awarded when a player:
- Kicks or attempts to kick an opponent
- Trips or attempts to trip an opponent
- Jumps at an opponent
- All players are required to wear a jersey, shorts, shin guards, socks and cleats.
- The socks must cover the shin guards entirely. If the referee deems a player’s equipment unsatisfactory, the player can be sent off until the issue is remedied.
Yellow cards are awarded as a caution or warning to a player and can be issued for the following offenses:
- Unsporting behavior
- Dissent by word or action
Red cards are used to send a player off the field, and can be issued for the following offenses:
- Serious foul play
- Violent conduct
Law 6: Offside
Law 4: The Duration of the Match
- When an attacking player receives the ball while on his opponents half, he must be level or behind the second to last defender.
- However, this rule only applies if he is involved with the play.

- A soccer match is comprised of two 45-minute halves, with extra time added for each at the referee’s discretion.
- The halves are separated by a half-time period not to exceed 15 minutes.
Law 5: The Start and Restart of Play
- Kick-off is generally determined by a coin toss, whereby the winning team can either choose to start with the ball or choose which goal they would like to attack.
- The sport of athletics is an exclusive collection of sporting events that involve competitive running, jumping, throwing, and walking.
- The most common types of athletics competitions are track and field, road running, cross country running, and race walking.
Beach soccer
- Beach soccer, also known as beach football or beasal, is a variant of association football played on a beach or some form of sand.
- The game emphasises skill, agility and shooting at goal.
- The introduction of beach soccer was an attempt to codify rules for the game.
- This was done in 1992 by the founders of Beach Soccer Worldwide,
- Beach soccer (beasal) started in Brazil, more precisely at Leme beach, Rio de Janeiro, and has grown to be an international game.
- The participation of internationally renowned players such as Eric Cantona, Romário, Júnior and Zico has helped to expand television coverage to large audiences in over 170 countries worldwide.
Swimming
- Each team consists of five players, including the goalkeeper and an unlimited number of substitutions, from a selection of three to five players.
- Shoes are not allowed, although ankle guards are permitted.
- Goal throws are taken by the goalkeeper.
- Swimming is an individual or team sport and activity.
- Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with events in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
- In addition to these individual events, Olympic swimmers also participate in relays. Swimmers can also compete in open-water events
Match length
- A game lasts thirty-six minutes, and is split up into three twelve-minute periods.
- Every beach soccer match is won by one team, with the game going into three minutes of extra time, followed by a penalty shootout if the score is still on level terms after normal time. Unlike football, penalty kicks are decided by sudden death rules.
- Competitive swimming became popular in the 19th century.
- The goal of competitive swimming is to break personal or world records while beating competitors in any given event.

HISTORY OF CRICKET?
Cricket
- Cricket was prominent in London as early as 1707 and, in the middle years of the century.
- On the Artillery Ground in FinsburyBowling underwent an evolution around 1760 when bowlers began to pitch the ball instead of rolling or skimming it towards the batsman.
- This caused a revolution in bat design because, to deal with the bouncing ball, it was necessary to introduce the modern straight bat in place of the old "hockey stick" shape.
- Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a cricket field, at the centre of which is a rectangular 22-yard-long pitch with a wicket, a set of three wooden stumps sited at each end.
- After either ten batsmen have been dismissed or a set numberof overs have been completed, the innings ends and the two teams.

- The FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup features the top national women's basketball teams from continental championships.
- The main North American league is the WNBA, whereas the EuroLeague Women has been dominated by teams from the Russian Women's Basketball Premier League.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
- A cricket match is divided into periods called innings. It is decided before the match whether the teams will have one innings or two innings each.
- During an innings one team fields and the other bats.
- A coin toss is held by the team captains just before the match starts: the winner decides whether to bat or field first.
