Mae Tuck's crimes were murdering an "innocent" man. Mae says she was just trying to protect a girl who was at her house named Winnie Foster, because she was being taken away from Mae "forcefully" by the man in yellow, the man she murdered.
Winnie Foster was an accomplice in the jailbreak that broke out the murderer Mae Tuck, in fact she even disguised herself as Mae so the constable wouldn't notice until Mae escaped, but since she is a minor no charges were pressed against her. Later she said to her family that the reason she did it was because "The Tucks were her friends. She had done it because - in spite of everything, she loved them."
I think Winnie and Mae both did the right action, even though they were both very serious crimes. I think they should both still get some sort of punishment, because the crimes they committed were terrible crimes, like Winnie should be grounded for a few months or so and Mae should be put in jail for at least 5-10 years, but they were for protection and/or friendship and if there would be any reason to do these crimes those would be the reasons. That is my opinion on whether they did the right things or not.
