"I was at a party listening to Brahms being played by the great Horowitz . Suddenly there was a click. The most horrible sound a man ever invented, right in the middle of the music. Somebody rushed to change the records. The mood was broken."

The LP phonograph record was introduced by Columbia Records in 1948. Eventually, CBS Laboratories hired Peter Goldmark and Howard Scott to work together and lead Columbia's development team. Each side of the long playing phonagraph record could play for 20 minutes at a time. The color TV was a more popular invention of his, but many people used this as well.
Peter was an inquirer in many ways. One way he was an inquirer was when he immagrated from Hungary wanting to do and learn more. Mr. Goldmark was also an inquirer when working with
Howard Scott while
inventing the LP
phonograph record.
Peter Carl Goldmark was very knowledgable. If it weren't for him today we might not have a color TV and everything we watch would still be black and white. He may have had a career in engineering, but in my opion if it wasn't for his smarts life wouldn't be the same as it is today.
Peter was born on December 2, 1906 in Budest, Hungary. Then, Peter attended the University of Vienna for college in 1925 and 1931. In 1933 he immagrted to the U.S. and got his first job working at Columbia Broadcasting. Then, in 1936 he joined CBS Laboratories where he conducted most of his work. He later married Frances Trainer and before they divorced they had five kids. Unfortuantly Peter died in a car crash on December 7, 1977 at only 71 years old.

Peter had multiple inventions. One of his more popular inventions was the color television. The color TV was first showed on August 29, 1940. The very first one worked by rotating a red, green, and blue color wheel behind the screen. Today the color television has changed in many ways, but we still give Mr. Goldmark lots of credit.
Today Mr. Goldmark's work has effected us in really great ways and he has accomplished many things. By inventing color television he has allowed us to see thigs from a whole different perspective. He has also allowed us to be more creative by putting things into color. In my opinion, Peter was a really amazing person.
