What?

Who?

When?

Jewish people celebrate this holiday and old people even in groups Judah, Hamaccabee, Antiochus, Shannah and her 7 sons Yehudit, Chris Brown, Drake, Albert Einstein, Jason Seegel, Adam Sandler. Those are the people who celebrate Hanukkah.

Where?

Hanukkah uses a solar calender to find it's days and this year it falls on December 6th and ends on December 14.

The joyous festival of Hanukkah begins on 25 KISLEV of the jewish calendar and it celebrates two miracles - a great jewish military victory and a miraculous supply of oil for the temple and we celebrate Hanukkah - also called the festival of lights - for eight days.

Hanukkah is celebrated where ever Jewish people live. Another fact is and it was originated from Jerusalem.

Why?

How?

Hanukkah is celebrated because it is the

honoring of the Jewish miracle. A long time ago, a serian King called Antiochus (ant-E-oc-is) tried to outlaw the Juish religion. To do so, he took over the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. A group Jues called Maccabees fought off the king's solders and took the temple back. When the Maccabees tried to re-light the Holy Lamp, they found out that there was only enough oil to keep it light for 1 night. But instead, it burned for 8 nights, giving them enough time to get more oil and celebrate Hanukkah. It was a real miracle!

Hankkah is celebrated for eight days to mark the eight days tho oil burned. People celebrated Hanukkah by lighting candles on Menorah. Each night a candle is lit on the menorah and there are nine candles in all.

Questions?

What is this?

This is the Star of David. It represents King David's shield. Back in the day, the Jewish people were required to wear the star to separate themselves from non-Jewish people. Soon after, the Natzis used the star to humiliate the Jews. They could even be killed. Now adays, it is a symbol for Jewish people.
