Pele achieved many things in his long life career. Pele was one of the youngest soccer players of all time. He won the most world cups in the record book. People think of him as the best soccer player of all time. He won the BBC sports personality of the year lifetime award. He also won the Laureus world sports award also for lifetime achievement. And most of all he won the love of millions of fan's.

Pele was born in Tres coracoes, Brazil on October 24, 1940 . Edson Arantes also known as Pele fell in love with soccer at a young age. When he was ten he and some friends started a soccer team. A year latter a coach recognized his talent and started to train him. At the age of just 15 he played for a professional soccer team. It was a beginning of a long career which led Brazil to 3 world cup trophies. Pele became famous in the world of soccer fairly quickly. His fame allowed him to raise awareness of his beloved game around him. Pele made a big impact on soccer in such short time.
Bumpy Roads
Pele had some bumpy roads along the way at the start of his career. Pele grew up in Poverty so Pele's family was very poor and was hard to afford things like food, clothes, and shelter. Also his father discouraged him to play soccer because that would leave them with less money they had before.
Characteristics
Pele is described in multiple ways. He is funny because when he was about our age he told jokes in class and won a talent show using his humor. Also he is caring because he got married had some kid's and people have even spotted him in local parks playing soccer with his 2 kids. And finally he is SUPER athletic because.... Well you know why.
