Djabar's method of killing always involved the entrapment of a man or boy followed by rape and murder by strangulation. He usually took his victims far off pathways in the desert. What set him apart from the rest was his interesting use of a turban that he used to kill his victims. The turban was used as a ligature.
Abul Djabar was motivated by severe depression and anger, developed from many years of abuse because of his sexuality. Not only was he oppressed by his peers but by traditional islamic society.
Although the court records pertaining to the case are not known outside the afganistan government we do know that Abul Djabar was tried and found guilty of multiple murders. He was executed by hanging October 21st 1970
