Benvolio
Event
Benvoilio's character does not change throughout this play, but there are many times where he is helping others. The moment that stands out the most for me is when he was helping Romeo when he was sad about Rosaline. Everyone had noticed that Romeo was sad but did not know how to confront him and try to help him but Benvolio. Benvolio told Romeo's Parents that he would talk to him and find out what was wrong and he accomplished more. He was able to end Romeo's sadness. When they were talking they had ran into a servant of the Capulet who had told them that they should attend the Capulet party as long as they are not Montegue's. They decided to go even to they are Montegue's and that is when Romoe met his Juliet and all of his sadness ended and was filled with happiness. Without Benvolio Romeo would have never attended that party and met Juliet.
Benvolio is a Montegue. He is Romeo's cousin. Benvolio is a kind man who is never looking for a fight but is always trying to end them. He is always looking out for the people he loves and enjoys spending time with his friends. In my opinion Benvolio is the most mature character in the Play Romeo and Juliet.
Heart - Peace
"I do but keep
the peace.
Put up thy
sword, Or
manage it to
part these men
with me." (1, 1, 66-67)
Spine - Family
"What sadness
lengthens Romeo's
Hours? (1, 1, 60)
Brain - Kindness
For Benvolio's I chose peace because he is always trying to break up fights between the Capulet's and Montegue's it shows that he wants peace between the families.
"See, where hr comes, So please you, step aside; Ill know his grievance, or be much denied." (1, 1, 153-154)
Benvolio loves his family. When Romeo is in his depression he takes it into his own hands to find out what has happened to him and does what he can to help him feel better. Benvolio making Romeo go to the Capulet party made Romeo meet the love of his life and Romeo has never been happier now that he has Juliet.
Benvolio is always thinking about the feelings of others. He is helping Romeo be happy, Romeo's parents see this son happy again, and still spending time with the people he cares about which will make them happy. His mind is filled with kind thoughts
Hand - Surrender Flag
"Part fools! Put up your swords; you know not what you do." (1, 1, 62-63)
Benvolio is always trying to end the fights that occur between the Capulet family and the Montegue Family. He believes that it is not right and will only cause more problems.
Benvolio is a dynamic character, but for the best. He is already a good man and does not need to change. He cares about others and when a fight starts, he jumps in and attempts to end their fighting. I think that he is strong enough to be true to what he thinks is right and not agree with the fighting even tho most of his friends willingly join in with the fighting.
