  • Ground-level part of our programming team that helps advertise and run the events
  • Team of 12-16 students
  • Lead by two coordinators that faciliate leadership growth, while creating memorable friendships
  • Great way to get programming experience
  • Responsible for thinking of viral marketing campaigns to get students to our events

Meet The President

What Does The President Do?

  • Serves as voice of the students to the administration
  • Serves as chair of CSU Cabinet, Executive Committee and Presidential Fellowship
  • Primary liaison between CSU and the Student Leadership & Involvement Center
  • Organizes and executes any official statements on behalf of the students to the media or any off campus entity
  • Essentially, I go to a lot of meetings and events

What does the Speaker do?

  • Chair and voice of the Board of Representatives
  • Coordinates efforts and activities of Board of Representatives
  • Assists board members in writing legislation and reports to Executive Committee

CSU is the only comprehensive student governing body on campus. CSU works with Creighton administration and the greater Omaha area to let the student voices be heard. CSU supports all students and student organizations at Creighton.

What does the VP for Programming Do?

Meet the Vice President for Programming

  • Request and negotiate contracts on behalf of CSU Program Board
  • Provide the Creighton community with multicultural, social, recreational, educational, and entertaining programs.
  • Oversee the planning of all events and provide the right resources to Program Board coordinators.
  • Responsible for the leadership development of Program Board coordinators and Street Team
  • Preside over Program Board meetings and act as the official spokesperson and representative of Program Board to the university.

What does the VP For Finance do?

Meet the Vice President for Finance

  • Serves as a liaison between Executive Committee, CSU branches, and University Committee members
  • Appoints students to University Committees
  • Works directly with Fall Conference and JayWalk coordinators
  • Secretary for Creighton Students Union
  • Presides over all meetings upon the absence of the president
  • Responsible for supervising all financial matters of CSU
  • Oversees allocation process of all CSU fees
  • Creates and presents annual budget
  • Audits all of CSU during the summers
  • Main educator of CSU's Policies and Procedures
  • Chair of the Appropriations Committee

Meet the Assistant Vice President for Programming

What does the AVP Do?

  • Assists the Vice President for Programming with proposals and other programming responsibilities
  • Cultivates leadership skills among coordinators
  • Takes minutes at all Program Board Meetings
  • Works closely with Alumni Relations and other University Parties to plan and execute Homecoming Week
  • Plans and executes the Foam Party and our event at Skutt Shutdown
