Lions live in prairies, semi-arid plains and Savannah grasslands within southern areas of the African continent.

Male and Female

Male lions hardly ever hunt; this is the duty of the female lions. While the females kill most of the animals for the pride to feed on, male lions defend territory from other lion prides or nomadic male lions.

At over 400 pounds and 9 feet in length from head to tail.
